why am i a brainwashed freak for bieng proud of who i am, i dont like the idea personally when i went through 6 months of intensive training to be called something im not. i worked my ass off to earn the title of a soldier, i wouldnt be happy if someone called me a marine or airmen. its pride, not brainwash, its honor in knowing who YOU are as an individual, yes we all fight in the same team, and yes we will help each other but theres still that little bit of superiority that you find in most anything. if your a metalhead you would be offended to be called a punker, or if your a pirates fan, being called a seahawks fan, or a pianist, bieng called a guitarist. you work hard for your title, why would i wanna be called the name of something im not.

there are actually differences now. A soldier wears an ACU uniform. this is a digital all around camouflage pattern. A marine wears a digital uniform also, but it is either in a woodland(green) or desert(tan) pattern. An airman wears a digital tiger stripe uniform, somewhat similar to the ACU. A sailor wears a Navy Working Uniform, similar to the marine pattern but a blue variant

people need to stop making fun of the military in general. my dad’s navy, and yeah i make fun of marines, but i have a lot of respect for those guys either way. they do what most of us here don’t have the guts to do. you make fun of people who go into the thick of it so you stay free, and you’ve got issues.

Then you must understand that one of the ideas behind going over there was to stop a nuclear bomb being planted in the middle of a major American city. Admittedly, they haven’t done the job perfectly but I think a lot more people would’ve died if they hadn’t taken the fight to them. Prevention is better than cure.
