I wouldn’t go so far as to give the US credit for starting guerrila warfare, so much as giving another large scale example of why it works. And for the record, peeps, I didn’t pick a fight with em, my bosses did. Long story short, most of us are just waiting for the politicians to pull their heads out of their asses and realize nothings going to change. To my knowledge there has never been a successful example of a traditional army “winning” against a civilian guerrilla force. On the plus, guerrilla wars tend to result in far less casualties than wars between traditional armies, not that it’s a good thing either way.

My brother was a Mid in that crowd. The photo was taken before, not during, Justice O’Connor’s speech – they had been ordered to the auditorium at 6 AM for a speech scheduled for noon. Yes, they were all catching up on some much-needed rest. And yes, the photo (and the surrounding reporting) was COMPLETELY out of context.

As for the comments about the F-22 and F-35, let me point out that the F-35 is primarily an Air Force plane, and compared to the F/A-18 Super Hornet, the F-22 is brand new. oh, and guess what? it doesn’t matter where you are on the planet; if your ‘floating mobile home’ gets hit, you can’t land! fancy that….

I kind of understand what thats like lol, when I was in the army for basic training, we would be doing stuff all day like running, rifle lessons, more running and so on, and they would always leave lectures until the end of the day by which time your screwed, everyone starts nodding off, its damn near un controlable, the major once thwacked a private cos he was asleep, funny cos it took 3 thwacks to wake him up! lol I wrote this post today, see what you folks think of my bizarre mind lol. what if i and clint eastwood were the only men on earth?

the F-22 is built for cold war air to air combat, two things should stand out in this statement “cold war” (19 years ago) and air to air combat, which is a rare occurance to say the least, coupled with the reliance of the airforce on immobile bases of operation limits their usefullness in an age of the strike fighter like the f-35, which is cheaper, more useful, and can be carrier based. The navy has greater capabilities, just about everything but carpet bombing.

If you think the F22 is obsolete, you need to be rushed to a mental hospital. And I do mean rushed. Before you hurt yourself or someone else.
Naval Aviation is pretty awesome, but it is till quite lagging in total ability. It’s simply more mobile.
