    Um…stranger and stranger…

  2. Basara says:

Is that a “What the F***? picture or a “Washington’s Trully F***ed!” picture?

  3. Serifina says:

I’ll agree that it’s a WTF picture… As in WTF is it doing on this site? Maybe over at RoflRazzi or something?

  4. jux bux says:

I’m pretty sure this is not the definition. Only an example.

    • Captain Wow the Ambassador of Awesome says:

Semantics. Often times definitions in dictionaries contain pictures. Thus why Lady GaGa’s trip to the White House appears above.

    • Angela says:

THANK YOU. I hate when people use “definition” wronly. The word they should have used is EPITOME!!!

      • ay dios mio says:

Yeah, using words “wronly” really is annoying.

      • mabsba says:

And the word that you should have used is ‘incorrectly’ since ‘wrongly’ is not a word.

        • paws4thot says:

Em, “Wrongly” is a word. It’s an adverb, derived from the adjective “wrong”.

          • Justacarolinian says:

So much for the Ma Bs Ba?

            • Vila Restal says:

So the use of Incorrectly is incorrect as Wrongly was wrongly interpreted as not being a word. Wow!! This conversation is getting confusing. I’m off for a lie down!! :-)

              • paws4thot says:

No, incorrectly would have been correct in this context, but it was wrong to claim that wrongly was not an word, and would also have been wrong to claim that wrongly was wrong in the context in which wrongly was used, and incorrectly could correctly have been substituted.

If you like this sort of stuff, and want to see it done really well, check out the comedy series “Yes (Prime) Minister”.

          • mabsba says:

Sorry, too many migraine drugs yesterday. I expressed myself incorrectly. I meant that it’s like ‘persons’; it’s not normally used in American English outside of legalese.

What I meant to say is: It’s not a normal word unless you’re a lawyer. (But then, she might be. :) )

  5. paws4thot says:

Well, it did make me think “WTF?”. It also made me thing that it was a genuinely terrific photo.

    • I Like Peanut Butter says:

Well this is just how I like my women, tightly glad, in a bubble, and bright….. Screw that whole barefoot pregnant and in the kitchen.

  6. ewwee says:

While I think its really pretty, I also think “this is my tax dollars at work?” I am struggling just to make my monthly mortgage and to pay my other bills on time. (Which I haven’t)

  7. Ryu says:

It’s not your tax dollars, working or otherwise. This is probably paid for by private donors (and I have seen some doozies done this way, so it’s not new, either). This is your donations in support of the arts dollars. As to the subject, don’t fairies and bubbles go together? “There’s no place like home… no place like home…”

  8. telefil says:

I would love to have seen that IRL. I dig on flashy costumes, especially those with wings (Rachel Griffiths’ costume at the end of “Blow Dry” comes to mind).

  9. Philip says:

    Technically, it’s an example.

  10. conanabanana02 says:

Anyone else think it looks like a Faerie Bubble from Neopets?

  11. The Steve says:

For some reason (not a mystery) the first thing I thought of was the logistics of snogging a chick in a butterfly costume inside a bubble. How would one get into the bubble? Can a butterfly do it doggie style, or would it be called butterfly style? Would lack of oxygen be a concern? You would need to be careful, the bubble could roll into traffic or some such…

  12. heidrance says:

    Is that Elvis Costello?

  13. pittypat says:

It’s more of a GTF picture. Right Eds? ;)

  14. Mr. Gerbz says:

    …Is that lady gaga?

  15. viking gal says:

Froo? I thought you were in Texas!?!

  16. juan says:

    typical american … weird

  17. Terry Toland says:

Maybe it’s just me, but it brings to mind the cover the 1922 Life magazine, which featured an artistic rendition of the ‘flapper’. But my mind may be kinder than others. There’s still no explanation of why they would have something like that, and whether or not this is some random individual on the lawn or one of the security guards that let in that uninvited couple to the state dinner.

    • n00bs says:

Maybe it’s another uninvited guest that popped in, because she isn’t very conspicuous or anything… She would fit right in.

      • Default User says:

This is the 13th fairy, the Bad Fairy, she wasn’t invited to the state dinner but she came anyways and is going lay a curse on the child, something involving a wheel and turning 16. Think it might have something to do with driving.

  18. I Like Peanut Butter says:

So as not to offend the non-Christians in the United States, Obama opts to put the “Butterfly Natvity Scene” on the White House lawn.

  19. wasyoungonce says:

ok just gone on the WTF link and OK, going to have a lie down in a darkened room now!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. SmilinStan says:

hey everybody, this is the OP. (original poster) you likey?

  21. keithybabes says:

Yeah, don’t mind me I’m just grumpy and jealous.. happy BD!

  22. Sasser says:

Reminds me on the episode of spongebob where the butterfly in the bubble terrorizes Bikini bottom. :)

  23. Vila Restal says:

You know. I’m sure i’ve seen this somewhere before. I’m not sure if it is some sort of performance art or if I saw it in Doctor Who, but the person in the bubble bit is familar.
