“Shut up” is a slang phrase with a meaning similar to “be quiet”‘, but commonly perceived as an angrier, “meaner”, and more commanding attempt to stop someone from talking or making noise. The phrase is probably a shortened form of “shut your mouth up”. More explicit forms of the phrase may be constructed by the interposition of modifiers, including “shut the hell up”,”shut the f*ck up”. In instant messenger communications, these are in turn often abbreviated to STHU and STFU, respectively. Similar phrases include “hush” or “hush up”, and “shut your mouth”.

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association as a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking, including an excessive need for approval and inappropriate seductiveness, usually beginning in early adulthood. These individuals are lively, dramatic, enthusiastic, and flirtatious.

They may be inappropriately sexually provocative, express strong emotions with an impressionistic style, and be easily influenced by others. Associated features may include egocentrism, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation, feelings that are easily hurt, and persistent manipulative behaviour to achieve their own needs

Now if you see here, *points to the word brother*, it is not in fact a ‘Luke, I am your Father’ joke but a ‘Luke, I am your Brother” joke.
      Class dismissed. ;-)

        *dons comic-book guy outfit*

True “Luke, I am your Father” and “Luke, I am your Brother” are both a subset of the class “Luke, I am your…” jokes, admitidly an overused category although as far as I am aware “Luke, I am your Brother” specifically a rather low circulation subset of the class therefore counterbalancing, to a degree, the over use of the generalized class.

        *looks at Captain WOW*

Times like this remind me of why I married a teacher…

  4. Igloo McCoy says:

Alright, where are the star wars nerds? We all know Vader never said “Luke, I am your father” but rather, “No, I am your father” in response to Luke saying Obi Wan had told him that Vader had killed his father. This is an egregious misquotation for which we sci fi nerds will not stand!

  5. just a brit says:

I may be wrong, but isn’t there something amiss with the US Flag on his shoulder, its looks sort of backwards to me. I thought the photo had been reversed but the letters in his name are still the right way around.

  6. Barack Obama is a very special person since he is the first black president of the United States of America. his ability as a president is also very good and his plans for economic recovery is a good one.

  7. ipv6freely says:
