    First! Ordinal me!

    • Wino says:

harro is a term referring to a traditional horseman or buckeroo from Mexico, originating in the regions of what is Northern Mexico, Zacatecas, Michoacan, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Durango. The term “vaquero”, is related but it is a different variant of charro which originated in what is now northern Mexico. In Texas, “vaquero” was the term used by the spanish speaking citizens of the state. The term was also prevalent in what are now the U.S. states of California, Nevada, and New Mexico. In South America, the term vaquero is used. The traditional Mexican charro is known for colorful clothing and participating in coleadero y charreada, a specific type of Mexican rodeo. The charreada, or corrida, is the national sport in Mexico. and is regulated by the Federación Mexicana de Charrería.

It cut off the “C” at the beginning :(

        • charro says:

          Thank you Wino.

I’d like to do a fly-by follow-up ordinal on you, Charro. It’s tangential to Wino’s:

Buckaroo Banzai is the lead character, played by Peter Weller, of the eponymous 1984 cult film, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. A renaissance man, the character is a top neurosurgeon, particle physicist, race car driver, rock star and comic book hero, and probably the last hope of the human race. In the film, his latest experiments open the door to the 8th dimension and unwittingly start an interplanetary battle for the world.

  2. How long has this one been here? I didn’t even see it yesterday.

    • HelOnWheels says:

It switched places with the one below it shortly after it was on the front page.

      • Well in that case, we’ve got one making fun of Pelosi and one making fun of Coakley back to back. That’s two in a row making fun of Democrats. Are you happy now, conservatives?
(On a related note, I’ve been reading the the Republicans aren’t happy with the guy who beat Coakley either. How ironic considering how excited they were that he won Kennedy’s old seat.)

  3. Mortis says:

It’s a cute caption (No, I didn’t vote for him, I live in CT)
