Rupert Murdoch has reportedly offered an apology to the family of Milly Dowler after it was discovered that “News of the World” hacked the murdered schoolgirl’s cellphone in 2002.
“He was humbled, shaken and sincere. This was something that had hit him on a personal level. He apologised many times and held his head in his hands.”
Mr Murdoch has written an apology for the paper’s “serious wrongdoing”, which will appear in national newspaper adverts on Saturday.
The advert will state: “We are deeply sorry for the hurt suffered by the individuals affected.
“We regret not acting faster to sort things out.”
Pundit Kitchen only regrets not making a tasteless “I’d tap that” joke sooner.
Meanwhile, Fox News is on a roll today. What’s the big deal about one murdered schoolgirl and some terrorism victims when Citibank and Bank of America have been hacked into?! WON’T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE BANKS!?!

“America was certainly safe between 2000 and 2008. I don’t remember any terrorist attacks on American soil during that period of time.”
Umm, I do.
