All The Hypothetical Situations!

… what if Judge Napolitano’s farewell speech on Fox News went on like this for over four minutes?

Incorrect source or offensive?

What if the speaker was able to present his points in a way that didn’t make him sound like he was droning on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and banana.

  2. MrsQ of Philadelphia says:

Oooooooo… fascinating! I don’t agree with all of his insinuations…
but what if most of them were spot on?

  3. usinoz says:

He had me till he said Ron Paul.

  4. InGen Corp. says:

He was doing fairly well until he started pushing the idea that Ron Paul was any different from the rest of the candidates.

Differences between parties blown out of proportion? Check.
Candidates often drop campaign promises? Check.
    Reagan wasn’t the messiah? Check.
    Ron Paul is sane? Uh….

    • Vincent says:

      Exactly!

However, I’m pretty excited (and very surprised) Fox News (aka “the evil”) endorses the opinion that bipartisan politics is not democracy, and therefore calls for proportionnal representation (and of course, limitation of campaign spendings, to oust the establishment)

      • Geary says:

Keep in mind this is his farewell speech, if he made it any other time it may as well have been his farewell speech. ;3

Well, technically speaking, this is an attitude that would hurt Democrats just as much as Republicans, if not more so. When it comes to weaseling off the books donations and unstated corporate benefits, the Dems are amateurs, roughly along the lines of comparing some kid with a corner lemonade stand to a multinational beverage conglomerate. I imagine someone realized that they could support the “moral” choice while ultimately not harming their personal benefits at all.

The Dems are catching up, though, and some standouts have approached Rep levels of weasel economics… or surpassed them. It’s only a matter of time before the enthusiastic latecomers pull even with the experienced and established.

        • Vincent says:

Who cares if it hurts democrats? It would bring actual left wing and socially libertarian parties in the game (like, say, the greens), and by then I will have a hard time caring about democrats anymore.

          • MacFeegle says:

Killing big money politics would indeed bring currently fringe groups into play, yes… rather like the European political system, which does have some benefits. I have to question, however, how quickly the largely unsophisticated American public will adjust to more than two political parties.

            • Vincent says:

              Don’t overestimate Europeans.

And if you want to be further reassured, look at New Zealand. This (oh so) unsophisticated nation has shifted smoothly from bipartisan to multipartisan in a snap. Minorities and natives are super glad.

              • MacFeegle says:

I don’t overestimate anyone. Quite the opposite… I’ve learned (the hard way) that the ingenuity of total idiots is not to be discounted, ever. I imagine even Americans can find a way to screw up an established system with many real-world examples…

How can you all be so dumb?

  6. langostino says:

    *sigh*

Ron Paul, huh? How free would we be if Ron Paul got his way, and let the rich and powerful do whatever they wanted, and just trample the people all they wanted? Because, that is exactly what would happen if the Ron Paul fantasy world were allowed to come into existence.

Free to be slaves of the wealthy. Sounds like freedom to me.

    • SharkMan2 says:

Because the current system where the government constantly awards an endless cycle contracts, kickbacks, and bailouts to their corporate sponsors all at taxpayer expense has done wonders to help the masses. Not to mention the endless cycle of inflation driven by the Federal Reserve. Who does inflation hurt the most? All together now. “The poor!”

  7. Casa says:

For people that hate Fox News, you guys sure watch it a lot. If you get your news from TV to begin with, you are truly stupid.

  8. colBoh says:

It’s sad that THIS is the sanest guy who works for Fox News.

  9. minarri says:

What if somebody merged this with Conspiracy Keanu?

  10. Devilsjackpot says:

The best questions is “What I he wasn’t completely right?”
