       no, conservatives are butthurt about the idea that images can be put into a different context that misrepresents or skews opinion on an issue.

       because when it’s done against a liberal (remember, we’re dealing with the new right, which is the 50s right mixed with indignation and lower IQ, so “liberal” is anyone left of mid-right.) then it’s just true because they deserve it for being godless heathens according to fox or rush or whoever speaks from on high.

       i think what he’s directly saying is that the “liberal media” (and by referencing that alone he makes us doubt his brain capacity) always makes the president look good. he’s a liberal, so he can’t actually look good on his own, and anyone who isn’t actively trying to make him look bad is unamerican — because bush was a real american (didn’t he look like one, with his “get a beer with” quality despite his alcoholism and his texas money?”), so anyone unlike bush or who ever criticizes bush must be evil.

       remember, there was the conservative blurb, repeating someone’s reference that he was “the one” that was taken out of context, which instead of making a horde of liberals who can’t think for themselves blindly worship the president, made a horde of conservatives who can’t think for themselves somehow thing that nonconseratives worshipped him. therefore, the liberal journalists must be liars.

       Naw, Santorum bit off more than he could chew. You don’t deride other people and expect to NOT be hit back for it, especially if you are running for an executive office.
