Pundit Kitchen: Keeping the internet honest since like three seconds ago. YOU’RE WELCOME, R-MONEY!

A man turned in a $100 bill to the Sears Store in downtown Seattle, Wash. today with a note that read:
During the late [forties] I stole some money from the cash register in the amount of $20-$30,” the note read. “I want to pay you back this money in the amount of $100 to put in your theft account.
Security cameras recorded the man, but the store has decided not to release the tape to police. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics inflation calculator, $30 was worth approximately $281 in 1948. Meaning… HE STILL OWES THEM MONEY. I sincerely hope the cops are combing the streets for this man as I type this.
(I kid, I kid.)

Hey, fiscal restraint and dietary restraint aren’t the same thing.
