In reality, the absurdity of the show is meant to criticize Dutch immigration laws and draw attention to the plight of asylum-seekers. A spokesperson for Holland’s Refugee Support Group elaborates:

“Often our government invests in the education and integration of immigrant children, then just as we are about to harvest that investment and they all become hardworking Dutch taxpayers, they are sent away. The program is sick but, let’s face it, the reality is sick too.

The Secret Service arrested a homeless man who climbed over the White House fence live on television. Take that astronauts! I’ll bet the secret service’s numbers in the “things-little-boys-wanna-be” polls are through the roof! Of course, firemen still dominate a good percentage of voters despite these recent developments.
